{"id":319,"date":"2020-09-23T15:19:51","date_gmt":"2020-09-23T14:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theprintspace.com\/help-center\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=319"},"modified":"2022-08-12T08:12:33","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T07:12:33","slug":"hanging-fixings-for-framed-artwork","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.theprintspace.com\/help-center\/knowledge-base\/hanging-fixings-for-framed-artwork\/","title":{"rendered":"Hanging fixings for framed artwork"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Discover our bespoke framing fixtures available for framed photographic and fine art work.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We offer a selection of framing hanging options for you to choose from including: D-Rings and Chord, Mirror Plates and Strap Hangers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>D-Rings and Cord<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>2 D-Rings are screwed to the back of the MDF with a cord tied between them. This can simply be hung on and screw head or Nail on the wall.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>This method is recommended for artwork up to 30&#8243; x 20&#8243;.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/61602556\/af4dc62ef779e3f9f3c8d3ba\/m1.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Mirror Plates<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>2 Mirror Plates are fixed to the back of the frame, 1 each side, approximately a 3rd of the way down from the top<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>To attach this to the wall, hold the artwork in position and level then mark the wall through the holes with a pencil. For large artworks this may be a 2 person job.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Where the marks are on the wall, drill and raw plug the wall. Once this is done, hold the art work in position on the wall and screw through the mirror plates from the front to secure to the wall.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>This method is recommended for frames up to 40&#8243; x 50&#8243;.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that the raw plugs and screws are not supplied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/61602561\/307db5541449866e906096a8\/m2.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/61602562\/e39a36f2a3d0154056416b46\/m3.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Strap Hangers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>2 x Strap hangers are fixed to the back of the frame, 1 each side, approximately a 3rd of the way down from the top.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>2 x J hooks are supplied loose which need to be secured to the wall.
